Indonesian customs (Bea Cukai) has specific requirements for commercial imports. AGLog Cargo and our Indonesian PPJK partners manage compliance at every step.
Every commercial import into Indonesia requires a PIB (Pemberitahuan Impor Barang) — the official customs import declaration filed through the INSW (Indonesia National Single Window). The PIB declares the HS code, customs value, quantity, and consignee details. AGLog Cargo's Indonesian PPJK (Customs Brokerage) partner files PIBs accurately to minimise the risk of Bea Cukai queries, delays, or penalties.
To import goods commercially into Indonesia, the consignee must have: a valid NPWP (Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak) — Indonesian tax identification number — and an API (Angka Pengenal Importir) — importer registration number issued by the Ministry of Trade. Without these, goods cannot be released by customs. AGLog Cargo advises consignees on these requirements well ahead of the shipment departure from Hong Kong.

LARTAS (Larangan dan Pembatasan) refers to Indonesian import prohibitions and restrictions. Certain goods require import permits (PI — Persetujuan Impor) from the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Health, BPOM (Food and Drug Authority), SNI certification, or other regulatory approvals before they can be imported. Common LARTAS categories include food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, electronics (SNI mark), textiles, and toys. AGLog Cargo advises on LARTAS compliance for your commodity before shipment.

Indonesian customs (Bea Cukai) is complex — PIB declarations, LARTAS restrictions, NPWP requirements, and SNI certification can catch out inexperienced forwarders. AGLog Cargo's Indonesian PPJK partners ensure compliant clearance on the first attempt.
Sea freight D2D from Hong Kong to Jakarta (Tanjung Priok): vessel transit 6–9 days, plus origin pickup (1 day) and Indonesian customs + last-mile delivery (3–5 days) — total 10–15 days door to door. Required documents: Commercial Invoice (declared value per HS code), Packing List, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, and a PIB (Pemberitahuan Impor Barang) filed by the Indonesian customs broker. The consignee must have a valid NPWP (Indonesian tax ID) and API (importer registration number). For certain goods, a Certificate of Origin (Form E for ASEAN preferential duty) and product-specific permits (BPOM, SNI, import licence) are also required. AGLog Cargo provides a pre-shipment document checklist for your specific commodity.
Indonesian import charges include: Bea Masuk (import duty) at 0–15% for most manufactured goods (rate depends on HS code); PPN (VAT) at 11% applied on the customs value plus duty; and PPh Pasal 22 (income tax withholding at import) at 2.5–7.5%. ASEAN-origin goods with a valid Form E Certificate of Origin may qualify for ACFTA preferential duty rates of 0–5%. AGLog provides advance duty estimates for your specific commodity before you book.

LARTAS (Larangan dan Pembatasan) is Indonesia's system of import restrictions and prohibitions. Certain product categories require special import licences or approvals (from the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Health, BPOM, or other agencies) before they can enter Indonesia. Common LARTAS categories include food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, electronics requiring SNI certification, textiles, and toys. AGLog Cargo advises on LARTAS requirements for your specific product HS code so you can obtain any necessary permits before the cargo departs Hong Kong.
Yes. AGLog Cargo can collect cargo from factories in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and other South China locations, bring them to our Hong Kong CFS or direct to the HK port, consolidate (for LCL) or load FCL, and ship door-to-door to Indonesia. This factory-in-China to consignee-in-Indonesia service via Hong Kong is a common routing for many of our clients — it leverages HK's free port and shipping network for Indonesia-bound cargo.
